Locus of Control Technique

  • The greatest level of anxiety resides in the areas we have the least amount of control

  • Make a list of all the things you have complete control over 

  • Make a list of things you do not have control over

  • Make a list of the things that have been causing you the greatest worry 

  • Compare these lists

  • Make changes accordingly

 

Cultivating Joy.

Gratitude List Technique 

  • Shifting your focus to all you have shifts you from a mindset of lack to a mindset of abundance

  • Write down all the things, people and places you are grateful for

  • Read the each night before bed and when you wake up

 
Gratitude lists are a great way to ease feelings of depression and remind you of all the things that are going well.
