Holistic Self-Care

Therapist burnout is at an all-time high. According to recent studies, up to 70% of mental health professionals report experiencing burnout, with nearly half considering leaving the profession altogether within the next five years. As therapists and healers, we pour so much into the healing of others that we often leave little time for our own nourishment.

I believe the paradigm is shifting. Gone are the days where our needs come last. We are reclaiming rest, stillness, nourishment, and joy, not just as personal luxuries, but as professional imperatives. Holistic self-care is no longer optional; it is the foundation that allows us to show up with presence, clarity, and depth for our clients, our communities, and ourselves.

Throughout the month of September, we will be leaning deeply into what it means to take a holistic approach to self-care. That means tending to our physical bodies, our emotional landscapes, our spiritual practices, our energetic hygiene, and our communal support systems.

This theme is also woven into one of the key pillars of the upcoming Holistic Therapist Conference, where participants will not only learn tools for healing others, but also experience practices to care for themselves. And, we’re excited to reintroduce our 2026 Healers Retreat in Bali, happening May 9–16, 2026. Early access opens in September with a $1,500 discount for those on the waitlist. Stay tuned.
